Linux Network Administration

This course provides students with the training they need to use TCP/IP commands and tools to install and manage Linux network configurations.
This course is designed for students who will be managing a Linux/UNIX network, who want
to increase their knowledge of Linux networking to include configuration, installation, and management of TCP/IP
networking, including NFS, NIS, BIND, BootP, DHCP, dataless configurations, SNMP, and PPP. The course demonstrates
how to set up and manage Linux networks using KDE and command line tools.
Students should be able to:
- Use An Editor On The System
- Manage Files And Directories
- Write And Debug Simple Shell Programs
- Describe The Purpose And Format Of System Files And Directories
- Interpret Error Log Files To Assist In Identifying Possible Problems
- In Addition, As Superuser:
- Install the Linux Operating System
- Add And Remove Users From The System
- Start Up And Shut Down The Operating System In Both Single And Multiuser Mode
- Create, Mount, And Back Up File Systems
