Most companies put a troubleshooting chapter at the end each course to pay lip service to the most important aspect of your job, getting your system running after a problem. At ISA we feel that it is not enough to simply learn how to initially install products and services. Our courses integrate troubleshooting system problems thoughout the course. At each juncture we tell the students to TRY to break the systems so that they learn how to repair them. ISA can do this becuase our instructors are field experts who know these systems inside and out. Our instructors are not corporate training weinies that were teaching how to use medical imaging or postage systems last year.
At ISA you learn to manage your UNIX System using the CLI. Only after you have used the CLI to configure products do you touch CDE. This way you can determine for yourself when it is easier to use the CLI or CDE to manage particular applications.
