UNIX Utilities and Commands
Course Number: U100
The UNIX Utilities and Commands course is an entry-level, lecture/lab course designed to provide training for users who require the fundamental skills needed to become productive using a UNIX type operating system, including UNIX, UNIX System V, or BSD.
The concepts presented in this course are suitable for users of any UNIX environment, and prepare the students to use the Korn shell on any UNIX based operating system. The examples, exercises, and solutions are based on UNIX V5. The length of the course is five days.
This course includes functionality of the UNIX V5 operating system, which may be running on a variety of machines.
The course is designed for customers with no, or limited, experience in a UNIX environment, who must become familiar with the available utilities and commands. The course is suitable for new users of UNIX systems.
