ISA adds VMware Training

In 2007, ISA has begun offering VMware training that is specifically focused on managing VMware in a SAN - Managing VMware in a SAN. In 2006, ISA first introduced VMware as an optional set of advanced labs in the SAN Boot Camp.

VMware has “authorized” training partners, however neither VMware nor its training partners include SAN attached storage in their classes. Who uses VMware without a SAN? ISA focuses on both managing VMware and configuring SAN/Storage to support a highly available VMware environment.

ISA adds iSCSI Training

In 2007, ISA has begun offering iSCSI training - Configuring and Managing iSCSI SANs. In 2006, ISA first introduced iSCSI as an optional set of advanced labs in the SAN Boot Camp.

Over the last two years iSCSI has finally achieved the market penetration that had been promised since 2002. iSCSI is a solid alternative to Fiber Channel for the SMB market and is being used to extend Enterprise SANs to those hard to reach places. ISA presents a vendor neutral iSCSI course that will prepare you to successfully deploy and manage an iSCSI network.

Testimonials... The following are comments taken directly from our course evaluation sheets.

"This course was well planned and the discussions (lecture) went hand in hand with the labs. The best aspect was the hands-on lab exercises where we implemented what was taught in the lecture. The instructor went out of her way to make sure the labs were a success."

"The instructor cares a lot about our learning process. He has an effective way of teaching and is able to keep you awake during the installation. The explanations have never been tedious. The instructor has a deep knowledge about digital UNIX."

"Very knowledgeable instructor with hands-on experience and with up to date equipment and resources."

"The instructor, Bill Maloney, made all of the material very clear and easy to digest. His background and supporting explanations gave me a much better understanding of UNIX than did a week long Administering Digital UNIX class I took last quarter."

"Brad is an excellent instructor. He is knowledge and a great communicator and listener, but it is his attitude that really makes the class very good. I would highly recommend this class to anyone."

"The instructor made the class enjoyable. He was very energetic."

"The instructor added "Rules of Thumb" suggestions that were helpful to understand how best to use a lot of the information."

"The instructor spent time explaining the hows and whys of the commands, calls and operating system, which went very far in helping to understand UNIX programming. It made it easy to program and also gave me ideas to bring back to the office."

"Low pressure learning. We weren't forced to do all of the labs if we didn't feel they were applicable to our work or if we were already familiar with the topic. We could stay as late as we needed to work on the lab."

"The instructor was very well prepared and very organized. I enjoyed the course and the material/presentation was excellent."

"The instructor seems to know deeply into internals of UNIX, which helped the quality of information provided. Also she was very supportive. I appreciate having solutions in the book."

"Instructor was exceptional on the subject and well organized in the presentation of course materials."

"Best part: Laurel giving actual examples of the lab. Months later I will be able to easily review important details."

"The instructor was highly knowledgeable and addressed questions and issues quickly, concisely and clearly."

"Great instructor. He answers every question very well. Enjoyed the hands on experience."

"Excellent instructor. Easy to follow. Easy to understand. I learned a lot. I am very pleased."

"Materials were easy to take with me and use as a reference. Examples were helpful as well."

"Small projects to work on that weren't part of the original course content are a good idea. (I liked it!) Outstanding knowledge and good skill at teaching."

"Extremely knowledgeable instructor. Lots of real world experience.
