Who We Are

Since 1991, The Institute for Software Advancement has provided training to create highly available, robust, IT infrastructures through mentoring, hands-on workshops, seminars, and conferences across the United States and around the World.
 
 ISA has provided training in the United States, Japan, Germany, France, Singapore, the United Kingdom, Ireland, the Netherlands, Canada, Mexico, Finland, and India.

Focus and Expertise

Today, the critical skills we provide include designing and managing Storage Area Networks (SAN), Storage Systems, server virtualization, and clustering.
 
 ISA has matured with the IT industry. Below is a partial list of when ISA began working with major SAN technologies:
  • 1991: Focused on the UNIX operating system
  • 1994: Added clustering and direct attached storage expertise
  • 1999: Added Fiber Channel Storage Area Networking and HP (then Compaq/Digital) SAN attached Storage System (MA8000-HSG80) expertise
  • 2000: Added EMC Symmetrix and EMC SAN methodologies expertise
  • 2001: Added HP (then Compaq) EVA Storage System expertise
  • 2002: Added Hitachi Data Systems Lightning and Network Appliance (NAS) Storage System expertise
  • 2003: Added EMC Clariion and Celerra (NAS) Storage System expertise
  • 2005: Added Hitachi Data Systems Universal Storage Platform and AMS Storage System expertise
  • 2006: Added Hitachi Data Systems Universal Volume Manager – Storage Networking virtualization expertise
  • 2006: Added EMC VMware expertise
  • 2006: Added iSCSI expertise

ISA's instructors are a unique group of industry experts whose skills span the broad range of today's leading technologies. They are carefully selected professionals, who are in the field, developing and using the technologies they will be teaching.
